We care about sustainable meal tracking, so we don't even try to cound macros, calories, or whatever. We enable you to be as detailed as you have to: you can write down detailed macros or log "soup". If a generic description matches your goals – all the better.

While the most optimal way to track meals is to log what you have "just eaten", we recognize that you might enter the info hours after you've had your meal. You won't have to erase those annoying timestamps we've prefilled for you – because we haven't. We don't pre-fill anything, specifically for that case.

We focus on simplicity over precision. Instead of detailed calorie counting and ingredient lists, we let you log meals with simple descriptions. No need to measure portions or search databases - just answer "when?" and "what?"

Do I need to count calories?

Not at all! While you CAN track calories if you want to, our approach is meal-focused rather than calorie-focused. A simple description of what you ate is enough to maintain your dietary habits.

What if I forget to log meals for several days?

No problem! We won't nag you with reminders or make you feel guilty. Life happens, and we're designed for easy recovery. Just pick up where you left off whenever you're ready.

Can I use this if I work night shifts?

Absolutely! We understand that not everyone follows a traditional schedule. Our day boundaries are designed for night owls - your day runs from 6 AM to 6 AM the next day, so your 2 AM snack counts as the same day as your afternoon lunch.

How does the Telegram bot work?

Connect your account to our Telegram bot and you can log meals by simply sending a message. Having lunch with friends? Just text the bot without opening the app. It's that simple.

Can I share my food log with my doctor or nutritionist?

Yes! You can share your progress through our web interface or via our chatbots. Whether you need to send reports to your healthcare provider or fitness coach, we make it easy.

Can I upload a photo?

While photos are nice for instagram, they can make logging a bit cumbersome – as they are easy to write and difficult to use later.. We prefer quick text descriptions that capture the essential information without the overhead. You can use your favorite AI tools to convert photo to text and automatically publish it to No-BS food log, though!

What about AI features for meal analysis?

We don't really do AI here. We do provide a way to integrate with ChatGPT or Claude – you will be able to log meals through them, as well as access your existing info. But we will not be offering any kind of analysis ourselves. We suggest you consult with a professional dietician if you feel that you need qualified feedback.
